Atheistically speaking: Why are religions and spiritualities here?

What's often ignored is that there is a huge, middle-ground of people who are genuinely interested in spiritual matters. I am one of those people, and it just doesn't work for me that I must subscribe to the thinking of one of these camps.
Based on the best information that I can find, I'd have to say that God probably exists, and I can make it the rest of the way on faith. What's also ignored is that in denying the existance of God, the non-believers must embrace the concept of God. That means that God exists...at least as a concept!
Whatever the particular attributes of God might be may be subject to speculation...I happen to think that God and Jesus are incredible sources of strength, love, guidance and wisdom...and I am extremely grateful for all that I/we have been given. Denying the existance of God, no matter how we perceive that being, does nothing to prove that God doesn't exist...it says much more about the individual(s) making that statement.

And, for many, it is almost unthinkable, to ask this ´´at home´´
because it will cause a problem.
The anonymity of this forum allows them, to peek outside of the box, in which they are, under normal circumstances.
You've switched the question around,I've done the same with the answer.
