I ask this question because so many conservatives like to refer to children conceived out of wedlock as 'bastard' children, or 'illegitimate'. The conservatives also like to say that those children are a result of the "liberal welfare system" that lets "lazy mothers" draw welfare when they have children.
Is the same true of Palin's illegitimate bastard grandchild? Or is there a second set of rules for Republican teenagers who get pregnant? Yes, it is.
There is a second set of rules, has been for years.
Either way she should have been there for her daughter.
Is there a difference between what someone does on the taxpayer dime and what they do on their own dime? There darn well should be!
They have a different vocabulary for when one of their own gets in trouble.
Palin herself was pregnant before marriage. I would imagine there is quite a lot of 'do as I say not as I do', involved here. I've also noticed that Bristol seems to have quit school last year, and her boyfriend has dropped out to get a job. Her other daughters are traveling with her, and of course the poor wee one too. Aren't there any rules about attending school in Alaska?
Many people feel they counter when they say Obamas mother was pregnant before marriage. I don't know, I haven't checked it out, all in all either parties sexual proclivities aren't that interesting.
