Graphic t-shirts under button ups?

March 11th, 2010
  • I could've sworn I've seen this done before, but I've been unable to find anything on the internet about it. So: Is it ok to do, or will I just wind up looking like an idiot?

And when I say graphic tees, I'm thinking mostly dark ones, with things like Band and company logos; not the huge, cover-the-whole-shirt type designs.

  • At worse, it is bad taste and poor manners; at best, it is poor fashion sense.

  • I think it would look okay, You also try graph T under a blazer.

  • Ive seen it before. it looks okay

  • This is the topic creator, just.... had to make a new accoutn real quick. Got locked out of my old one for some reason. Anyways, I was going to post this:

Well, the whole reason I'm asking this is because I love to wear these kind of t-shirts, yet I can't stand to wear *just* a t-shirt. So as it is now, I've mostly given up on tees, and just go with polo's and hoodies. I'd love to be able to show off these kind of shirts, without having to feel uncomfortable for all day.

But yeah. I like the blazer idea, but I'm just going to wear this stuff to school, and that's a bit too dressy/upscale for me.

Also, to clarify: I don't care about manners and what's "fashionable" at the moment, and I'm not trying to attract girls or impress anybody. Basically, I just want to know if it's done, even sometimes, and if doing it will make me look a complete idiot. ;P

  • The main thing is to make sure the colors match. I put these together for you so you could see what I mean: (these colors aren't perfect, but you get the idea from them, just make sure that the colors of the tee are the same colors as the button up)
