Over the past few months, my cable modem, a three year old Terayon TJ715 which I own outright, has been both losing cable signal (the cable light goes off, then it slowly reacquires the cable signal) and restarting (all the lights turn on as if just plugged in, then reacquires both cable and network). It is especially prone to happen if I am streaming or downloading a large file, such as a podcast or a movie trailer. But it also does this randomly. It's up to doing this three or four times a night. Should I replace the cable modem with a newer model like a Linksys CM100, or is this something I should bring to my cable company's attention, risking a service call charge if the modem is the problem?certificantions Bootcamp-
