Questions about a lip tattoo!?

I got three capital letters tattooed on the inside of my lip [the back of my lower lip, to be more precise] I had this done less than 24 hours ago and the tattoo has ALREADY faded away completely. The guy who tattooed me charged $70!! and he never told me how to care for it or anything. But he did tell me it could last a few months or up to a year, NOT ONE DAY. I went back in to see him tonight and he just shrugged and said 'too bad' and pretty much walked off. So I am really annoyed/upset that I got so ripped off, because I have seen other people's lip tattoos and they all look so nice. I would like to know if anyone else has had similar problems with their lip tattoos? Or if anyone knows how they should be done and cared for properly? Are there ways to make them last longer? Go to a different tattoo shop and ask
