2. I would like to do this as opposed to that.

Grammatically, are they correct?

They look fine grammatically to me.

but the second one sounds strange, I would consider rewording.

break down doesn't to does not.

Your 2nd sentence is correct.

I think it goes like this

1. It does not matter even if it is white , brown or black.
2. I would like to do this one as compared to that.
