I would like to know if she moves in with her boyfriend, will her disability end because her boyfriend makes a pretty descent income? Also, if she gets married to him, will her disability end? Disability living allowance in the uk is payed even if someone is working, it's to help with the needs of the disabled person and this benefit isn't taxed.
Other benefits would be reduced or stop if someone moves in because the benefits office have to be informed of any changes.

Anyways, if she moves in with you she might still be able to get her disability. If you guys get married, it could end her disability. Why doesn't she call the government entity where she gets her disability and ask anonymously????? Is it SSI or Social Security Disability? If it is SSI she will need to be a little careful with jiggling her expenses on paper if she moves in with her boyfriend and if she marries him most if not all of it will go away. If it is Social Security she can do whatever she wants including marrying him and, as long as she is disabled, she will still get her benefits.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
