What are squatters?(20 characters)?

March 13th, 2010
  • I have never heard of the word.

  • Squatters?
Referring to people- people who come into an establishment meaning living quarters.. and will not comply or get out..
yet. they claim they have a right to be there even tho' they do not pay, or keep the place up
In pioneer days.. Squatters would keep out land..
    Happy Holidays..

  • Only squatters I've heard of are people that live in vacant buildings

  • people who live in unoccupied, abandoned or condemned buildings.

  • They are also tenants who usually live in an apartment or a house. They'll pay the first and/or 2nd months rent... then after that all they do is complain about things that are broken and don't make the effort to allow anyone to fix the problem. The landlord will then try and evict them which is a lengthy drawn out process... all the while the tenants are living rent free.

They claim that they have a right to be there. They call it the "Squatters Rights".
