What's your favorite Vivaldi song?
March 18th, 2010That's my favourite one, it's very dramatic :)
I have enjoyed singing this in the context of a church service.
I love Vanessa Mae's kickass techno version:

It's like a bolt of coffee for your spirit, but without the after-jitters.

Don't get technical.

Two guys were up in a hot air balloon. The GPS batteries died, they were lost. They got close to the ground and shouted down, "Where are we?" to a passer by. The answer came quickly: "You're in a hot air balloon".
One of the guys says sarcastically , "That's alot of help!".
The other says, "It tells us we're in Redmond."
The first says, "How do you figure?"
The seconds says, "Well, the answer was technically correct, but useless. So, it's gotta be someone in software."
If I were pressed to pick a Vivlaldi piece, it would either be the one you picked or the Presto from Summer.
Also... a techno version of Summer - yuk! Techno is awful. The version by Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Alan Loveday and Simon Preston is sheer perfection.
