I've been listening to this "Piano Concerto in A Minor" however, I am lost as to who the composer is -as the file does not contain a label- It starts with a string introduction, then about 2 minutes into the song, a piano piece takes over: beautiful.
Who is it?What era does it sound like? I don't think it's the Greig or the schumann cause grieg does not have a string introduction, it has a tymphani introduction and the piano starts within seconds, not what the description says. I think, there are 2 possibilities..
Grieg is definitely one of the most popular..

But Schumann might be another possible choice as well..

however, all of them open with piano intro right away...
so I wonder if you meant something else..
like CPE Bach, Respighi....
there are not many a minor as far as I know..
but do check out different movements of these 2 concerto
I am thinking you were listening to the 2nd movement of the Grieg which is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CJDZTUnh...Most likely the Grieg Concerto.
/.Edvard Grieg - Piano Concerto in A Minor, perhaps? The first movement is probably the most famous:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF0WaXEf0...Yes, it is Grieg & Yes, Schumann is 2nd choice! Most probably you mean the second movement of Grieg's piano concerto in A minor , as similar to you description , the piano enters after about two minutes of the strings introduction , and this is really one of the top beautiful classical works.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
