I would like to know how to convert a .pdf document containing both text and graphics into WORD so I can make some changes to it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.:flag:Thanks for the info, MMFEL. I have used the Free PDF to WORD Doc Converter you suggested and I find it helpful. However, on some of the pages where the font size was not all the same, the words overlap each other, both small and large size fonts. Also, in some pages containing text in columns, the same thing happens, the words are overlapping one another. I thought I would set up a table with columns to contain the text so I can adjust the font size; however, I cannot select the text by columns.
Is there any way of working around this problem? Thanks in advance.
NeophyteUse this http://pcwin.com/Business___Finance/Word_Processing/Free_PDF_to_Word_Doc_Converter/index.htm and it should preserve your formatting.Hi MMFEL,
I have to apologize for not responding promptly due to workload.
I tried using the Free PDF to Word Doc Converter on another document and this time it worked perfectly. I guess it depends on what you are trying to convert, but for now I think I will be alright. Thanks for your help!
NeophyteThis is not elegant, but it works. Highlight the document, or area of it that you want to edit, and press Ctrl-C.
Open Word and press Ctrl-V. The text that you highlighted is now in Word. I said it is not elegant because much formatting is lost.
FredThanks Fred. You're right, all the formatting was lost but at least I have the text that I can now revise. I had no idea it was that easy.:bye:Can you post the doc, or part of it, so I can look at it? There are several other programs you could try.
