Anyone know any Rock songs with a good Organ solo?

March 18th, 2010
  • I was wondering if anyone knows any good rock songs with cool organ solos in them? I'll start it off...
    In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Your Time is Gonna Come by Led Zeppelin
Light My Fire by The Doors
    Soul Kitchen by The Doors
When the Music's Over by The Doors

  • Highway Star by Deep Purple

  • Baba O'Riley-The Who
    It's a synth anyway...

  • Mr. Crowly by Ozzy Osbourne

  • You've got a ton of Doors and Deep Purple songs to choose from as their keyboardists were featured on many songs. "Riders on the Storm" and "Lazy" have probably my two favorite solos from each of those bands.

Other great organs appear in Procol Harem's "Lighter Shade of Pale", Steven Stills' "Love the One You're With", Allman Bros.' "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed".

Many others out there--too many to think of right now...

  • Pink Floyd Man I dont know the name of the song

  • Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley

  • Since nobody has mentioned them yet, check out some Uriah Heep

  • Blur - Theme From Retro

  • Coldplay - "Lost!"
    Muse - "Megalomania"

  • The Animals "House of the Rising Sun"

  • Louie Louie
