I'm sure there used to be a way to distribute a presentation in a format where users who didn't have powerpoint installed could view it (without using the free viewer) - can this be done (by the way I've lots of linked wavs to be included alsoTry saving as a web page (hopefully the save as web wizard is available to you from the file menu) so that embeded files and transitions are also saved if you have 2000 or 2002.Thanks to all for the help - got it sorted nowYou would need to convert the file to some other format, such as HTML. PowerPoint files can be read only by PowerPoint or the viewer, or by equivalent files. (For example, StarOffice/OpenOffice will read the files, but you will have the same problem as you do now - Otehrs will have to have the program.)
Another option is to use a screen recorder to record the presentation while it plays and distribute the results of that process. If you are going to investigate that, I would suggest starting with Camtasia, a product from TechSmith.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
