I'm just wondering if this just happens at my school or if it's something common. Today my team had a game in New Jersey and we drove about an hour or so to get over there and when we got there that schools athletic director told us that there was no JV girls soccer team there today. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me but the other two times it was a track meet. Has this ever happened to anyone else or is it just me?I had 2 games this year when the other team diddn't show up...
It was ok cause it was close to my house.Last year I had a game cancelled because one of the players died.
edit - the opposing teams player.damn new jersey people ;)Similar thing happend to me this past season for school. We had 2 games that afternoon..and the second team never showed up. So the team we JUST got done playing said they'd stick around and play again, so we mixed up players (which everyone hated doing) and played again, more of an instructional game than an actual game though.That sucks.... last games of my summer season were no-shows. I had two games in two days, and the first game, the other team didn't show up AT ALL, and the second game the next day, MY team didn't show up. What a bummer. We played pickup on the second day so it wasn't a total loss.JV sucks#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
