he could count to 10 at 20 months and knows all his colors and shapes i only have one kid and don't know many people with kids to compare so tell me do you think this is early. It is early, but it is also quite normal. My daughter could do those things at 18 months. She is very bright and I would say your son is too.I got thumbs down for another question like this earlier....my daughter will be 2 on the 3rd of Jan, and she's speaking in full sentences also. Knows most of her colors and can count to ten. She also knows some of the alphabet. I know all babies do things at their own pace, but yeah, I think it's a bit advanced. I could be biased though.Haha my 4 year old daughter was quite the chatterbox too, at 2 she also talked in full sentences. It's alright it just means he is a quick learner.Hello,
I don't think is too early, for sure he is a bright child and probably you have been doing a good job stimulating him!
I have a 5yrs and a 2yrs old. the little one can count to 10, knows shapes and colors and speaks quite fluently (we just got in the USA one year ago from Italy so the kids speak both Italian and English). I usually don't compare my kids skills with other kids...they are all very different...my older daughter started to walk at 9 months and began to talk fluently late (2 1/2 years) the little one did the opposite....
Still if you want something you can compare, check the link below.
bye!Oh my god your child is a genius!! Only joking. You obviously spend lots of time with him speaking to him in grammatically correct sentences, and teaching him his numbers. He is normal, and bright. Don't try to push him to learn or it will lose its fun, and he wil stop learning! My son was saying short sentences at 2. The other day he asked "Is that a wall up there?" pointing at the ceiling. He identifies shapes, colors, can count to ten in English and French, and is starting on his abc's. You're doing a great job. Keep it up.That sounds like he is picking things up really well, which is great! Each child has a different learning capacity and what is normal for one child might not be normal for another.
I started speaking in full sentences at 6 months old , however my sister didn't start speaking in full sentences until 3 years old, my brother could read at a 12th grade level by the time he was 3.. so it really depends on the child.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
