Um... I've been interested in becoming a DJ for some time and I want to clarify some things Im not sure on. Firstly, what is the difference between a deck and a turntable (yea I know a turntable is where your able to scratch etc. however I don't know what exactly a deck does that's diff. from a turntable). And Ive been thinking about purchasing a Stanton T.60 Direct Drive Turntable; you know... since Im a starter. And to be clear, I want a DJ set that's all purpose so I was thinking about getting the T. 80 instead. Apart from that I just wanted to know if turntables or decks came in pairs (I wasn't sure and I wanted to be COMPLETELY sure). And if you have any other advice for a beginner please let me know. Greatly appreciated. :] ohhh & btw I want to specialise in high bass like DnB (Drum'N'Bass) and like grime as-well as house. (if that matter in the question) Decks are turntables usually, but decks can also mean tape decks. Turntables are sold separately, expect to pay at least 300 quid for one decent turntable. Make sure it's direct drive. You can't go wrong with 1210s, I've had mine for years. Get Concorde needles.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
